KT and The Falcon is a small wine company sourcing grapes from an elevated patch of dirt in the township of Watervale. This vineyard has been carefully tended by the same custodians for the last thirty five years and represents the true spirit of the region. With gentle care from grapegrower to winemaker, working with organic principles, this sweeter Riesling is inspired by the richer wines of the world and is an exotic expression of the style. The hand picked fruit from the Peglidis Vineyard was selected for this sweeter, luscious style due to its richness and concentration. With fresh floral spice and juicy acidity, this wine displays all the fine mineral hallmarks of the Watervale region. The palate is richly textured with concentrated citrus spice and hints of blossom. With some wild yeast ferment for complexity, the palate is balanced by succulent acidity. The 2008 vintage in the Clare Valley has been noted as producing grapes of high quality and our fruit was harvested at optimum ripeness early in the season. Sealed with a screwcap to ensure integrity of product, you can be confident that this wine will continue to reward you with careful cellaring. We thankyou for supporting our project.
